Two years ago Van Hoecke launched its webshop for online orders of furniture fittings. In the same movement, the configurators for LEGRABOX, TANDEMBOX(Blum) and TA'OR BOX were integrated. Today, more than 90% of our customers order digitally.

Of course, Blum's importer and manufacturer of TA'OR BOX did not sit still; for two years, input from the customer was requested and integrated.  Today, Van Hoecke is ready to release a 2.0 version on the customer database. Dries Tindemans, e-marketer at Van Hoecke, explains: "Previously ordered drawers can be fully edited and copied, complete freedom in the furniture fittings that may or may not be included and also when and where that delivery may take place.

Thanks to the new ERP system, we can give a more accurate picture of when customers can receive an order, depending on the available stock and production capacity. They can then always estimate when they need to order in order to get the goods delivered optimally".

In the autumn of 2019, Van Hoecke will launch another configurator to effortlessly select a perfectly fitting drawer layout (Orgalux). In this way, the explosion of variants is tailored specifically to the type of drawer ordered. All the complexity is taken out. "The most frequently heard remark at Orgalux was that there was too much choice, so we now make it very easy for our customers," adds Dries.

The integration with the Van Hoecke app (scanning of labels for Blum products and ordering additional drawers that have already been fitted) was also fully completed and was very well received.

Finally, two new much-needed features will soon be ready for roll-out on Van Hoecke's e-commerce platform: "The first new feature is that customers will soon be able to use a new Business Intelligence tool via the dashboard. This will give them complete freedom over their own data. The second, and we are very proud of this, is that our systems will now also validate an order automatically, without human intervention. Missing components and margins of error are now definitively excluded".
